Hah. She'll be in good company. :) My son is still confused about his name, although he'll come whenever I call pretty much anything in a particular tone of voice.

@chris strangely, yes. too long, I guess?
we made up name for her various types of squirmy behavior. such as:
"she squirbled the hat off the back of her head again"
and "i put her down sleeping, but now she's [scrubbly|scrubbling around]."
and so our neologisms made their way into our nicknames for her :-)
