i met a friend-in-the-computers today! i'm working in manhattan this week until wednesday, so i says to myself... "self," says I, "self, i think that moonbatty lives here - i wonder if she would be interested in meeting a crazy girl from DC." turns out i guess she was, or something, because we got together up on the upper east side (i feel so new-yorkish saying that) and had drinks (well, ok, i had Drinks and she had a drink. she had to go back to work.) oh crap! we also went to a burger place that had THE BEST KETCHUP EVER (i'm serious - they had cajun spicy ketchup and curry-cumin ketchup and it was so good) and i was going to see if they sold it but i forgot :-(.
anyway i'm trying not to say anything self-deprecating but it's hard. i'm honestly much better on the computer, because i can be my dorky self and then compose myself and write something somewhat less idiotic and send *that* instead. in person there's no editing. and i had to come in my grownup costume (that's what i was for halloween... hehe, no. it's what i have to pretend i am at work.) instead of being in jeans and a t-shirt like i would be normally. so i felt all fake and preppy and um... whoops. anyway, suffice it to say that she's adorable and fun and i had a lovely time and we didn't even talk about politics.
